Created to keep young talent here in the area to work and live, Intern Omaha connects senior high school students with some of the city’s best employers in the area through a co-curricular program that combines classroom learning as well as first-hand experience through a year-long internship. Best of all, it begins in high school as students explore the career fields that hold the greatest interest for them.

Students apply to the program their junior year for an internship their senior year – applying and interviewing for internships at some of the area’s top businesses. Then, spending the summer before senior year and throughout that year working for that company. Students take an Intern Omaha course each year, and can choose to earn high school and college credit.
